Job Description
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Responsible for architectural project leadership and documentation
- Develop and review building plans and schedules
- Oversee a large team of contractors and technicians
- Prepare construction contracts for general contractors
- Estimate fees, determine the scope of work, and prepare proposals
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and consultants to define project requirements and produce deliverables
- Maintain project documentation, estimates, and budgets
- Ensure construction meets safety policies and zoning code standards
- Monitor progress of projects and assess each phase to ensure deadlines are being met
- Serve as primary liaison to bring project completion to clients
- Continuously improve knowledge by keeping updated with industry standards
- Maintain a positive attitude and relationships with clients and colleagues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field required
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in architecture or engineering
- Advanced understanding of architectural design processes, construction methods, zoning regulations, and code requirements
- Proficiency in using software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Revit, and Microsoft Suite
- Ability to manage schedules and projects and meet tight deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong creative and technical skills
- Ability to create strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors
