Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute new drug therapies and candidates using natural or man-made ingredients.
- Using molecular biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, or medicinal chemistry, study drug mechanisms and assess their potential efficacy and safety.
- Conduct scientific research to identify and identify drug targets.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data to guide further compound optimization.
- Determine the most effective formulation and dosage for specific drugs.
- Plan and oversee preclinical studies and toxicology studies.
- Ensure consistent quality of prescription medications.
- Analyze experimental data using statistical methods and relevant software tools.
- Interpret and present scientific findings to internal teams, management, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other teams of chemists, biologists, clinicians, regulatory affairs to achieve project goals.
- Assist in improving and assessing the manufacturing drug process.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., pharmacology, biochemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences).
- Expertise in drug discovery and development processes.
- Experience in conducting laboratory experiments and applying relevant techniques and technologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and scientific software tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and compliance requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey scientific concepts and research findings.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
