Job Description
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Observe and record patient behavior
- Perform physical examinations & diagnostic tests
- Collect accurate patient medical history and progress
- Administer medications to patients and assess side effects
- Prescribe assistive medical devices to patients
- Modify patient treatment plans accordingly
- Respond appropriately and rapidly in emergency situations
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in matters related to patients
- Conduct ongoing assessments of patient conditions
- Direct and supervise nursing assistants
- Basic administrative duties as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required
- CA RN license, AHA BLS, NIHSS Cert.
- 2 years of recent nursing experience with Neurosurgical population and exposure to Neuro-Oncology patient population or 2 years’ experience in oncology patient.
- Licensure granted by the National Council Licensure Examination-RN
- Clean background check and drug screen
- Strong clinical skills and bedside manner
- Multitasking and verbal communication
- Ability to be on feet for long hours of the day
- Extremely organized
