Pediatric Nurse

Duties:

• Monitor and assess the condition of critically ill pediatric patients.
•  Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
•  Operate and maintain life support equipment.
•  Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
•  Provide emotional support and education to patients' families.
•  Document patient care and progress accurately and thoroughly.
•  Respond to medical emergencies and perform advanced life support procedures.
•  Ensure a safe and sterile environment in the PICU.
•  Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices.
•  Advocate for the needs and well-being of pediatric patients.
•  Assist in the development and implementation of PICU policies and procedures.
•  Conduct regular patient rounds and update care plans as needed.
•  Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
•  Prepare patients and families for discharge and provide follow-up care instructions.
•  Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all healthcare regulations.

Requirements:

• CA License. AHA BLS, PALS required.
• CCRN cert preferred.
• Required skills: Conscious Sedation, ICP, Telemetry, Vents, Central Line Care.
• Preferred skills: Level 1 Trauma Experience, S/P Bone Marrow Transport.
• 2 years minimum experience required.
