Summary:
The role of a Transaction Manager is to work closely with investment teams to ensure the smooth and timely execution of transactions within the firm’s private markets investments.
The Transaction Manager will manage a variety of projects and tasks related to deal closings and investment operations across multiple strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the global Transaction Management team to improve and automate key operational processes, aiming to enhance efficiency and scalability in process management and fund reporting.
- Oversee the flow of information through a centralized inbox for all fund and client investment communications.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for process-related inquiries and ensure the correct application of policies and procedures.
- Work with internal teams to ensure the timely exchange of KYC documentation and funding for new investments, confirm deal closings, and resolve any related issues.
- Act as the main middle-office contact for external parties, including legal counsels, custodians, and KYC/AML agents, to handle transaction documents and funding in a timely manner.
- Collect, update, and reconcile both quantitative and qualitative investment data for reports, forecasts, and analysis, while maintaining fund databases.
- Coordinate with deal teams on the timing of new investment approvals and closing requirements to ensure operational readiness.
- Accurately manage the processing and reconciliation of investment commitments, financial crimes and compliance (FCC) requests, and audit findings.
- Provide accurate and timely funding details to external partners to facilitate deal closings.
- Ensure all closing documents are correctly uploaded to the document management system.
- Manage daily and monthly deliverables globally, ensuring consistent communication across key offices, including London and Singapore.
Preferred Qualifications:
- General understanding of the investment industry and broad knowledge of private market transactions.
- Interest in working on projects in a fast-paced environment within a global team.
- Familiarity with transaction documentation, corporate governance practices, and the unique aspects of private market deals.
- Awareness of KYC and FCC industry standards.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and transactions simultaneously.
- 2-5 years of experience in middle-office support within fund administration, operations, or process management.
