Job Description
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Review vendor and independent contractor invoices and documents for coding and approvals
- Ensure all documentation is properly submitted to the accounting system
- Answer all vendor questions and inquiries and respond to information requests
- Maintain and file W-9 documentation for independent contractors
- Review and process employee expense reports
- Collect all cash receipts and accurately record them into the accounting system
- Maintain all electronic documents and files for accounts payable
- Assist with month-end closing period by assessing general ledger accounts and preparing schedules
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations during monthly close
- Assist with vendor and cash receipts files and supporting documentation during annual internal audits
- Assist with budget templates and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist the accounting manager as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years' experience in general accounting
- Working knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- Extremely proficient analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Word and Excel
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with data and financial information
