Job Description

Summary:

A Greenwich, CT single-family office and asset manager that seeks asymmetric returns by investing in distressed companies and venture start-ups. In our distressed buyouts we work in partnership with management teams, leveraging our collective strengths and resources to tap an organization’s full potential. In Palm Venture Studios we seed new and disruptive business models to challenge the status quo and bring about change that is good for business and good for society.

Seeking to add a Senior Accountant to its team to support the firm, its start-up businesses, and the firm’s Chairman.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for accounting and financial reporting of our portfolio companies across a wide range of industries, including overseeing external bookkeepers, to ensure accurate and timely management reporting. This includes drafting accounting policies to guide financial reporting practices.
  • Manage accounts payable processes and optimize financial workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the investment team to conduct target due diligence, and perform financial analysis of target and portfolio companies.
  • Lead ad hoc projects related to financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support the overall financial health of the portfolio.
  • Provide comprehensive support to senior executives, including the Principal, in managing personal and family finances.
  • Support the Controller in various financial tasks and assist the CFO with financial strategies and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or taxation
  • CPA, or evidence of progress
  • Minimum of 3 years of audit experience in public accounting
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, interpersonal, time management, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to work with confidential and sensitive information
