Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee tax compliance process and research functions essential to the preparations of tax return
- Collect and prepare forms supporting third-party tax providers and responses to notices and audits
- Assist in preparation of partnership book and tax capital accounts
- Generate schedules, tax return templates, and work papers to assist in the tax return process
- Contribute and advise on the development of technological systems and automation of processes, including tax provision, transfer pricing, work papers, estimate statements, and capital account reporting
- Liaison with internal departments to advise on questions relating to reporting, sales, and tax implications
- Review legal and operating agreements
- Manage and control client budgets
- Formulate and implement legal tax reduction strategies
- Advise clients on tax strategies, compensation and benefit plans, and accounting systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field required
- CPA licensure is a plus
- 3+ years tax experience in accounting or related industry
- Familiarity with tax and accounting software and systems
- Proficient knowledge of principles and practices of federal and state taxation
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
