Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and refine daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with standard financial practices and company protocols.
- Manage comprehensive accounting cycles, including accounts payable, receivables, general ledger maintenance, and payroll oversight.
- Administer accurate processing and recording of company's transactions and ensure timely monthly and annual financial closure.
- Conduct thorough reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
- Prepare detailed financial analysis and periodic reports to support the strategic planning and decision-making process.
- Collaborate with external auditors and consultants to complete audits and develop financial controls and procedures.
- Spearhead the integration and optimization of financial systems and software to enhance workflow efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. CPA certification or active pursuit thereof is highly regarded.
- At least three years of experience in accounting roles within a non-profit or similar sector, with direct exposure to accrual-based accounting and diverse revenue streams including donations and grants.
- Proficient with financial management software, preferably Sage Intacct; certification in this software is an advantage.
- Skilled in the use of Salesforce for financial integration and reporting.
- Robust analytical skills, coupled with a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and reporting.
- Excellent communication abilities with a track record of collaborative work relationships.
- Proven capability to work independently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and organizational goals.
