Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete billing cycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with both internal standards and client specifications.
- Prepare detailed invoices that include all billable hours and expenses, ensuring they align with contractual agreements.
- Regularly review and adjust billing procedures to meet client requirements and internal guidelines.
- Collaborate with attorneys to ensure billing queries are resolved promptly; adjust billing records as needed to accommodate changes such as discounts, write-offs, and special billing arrangements.
- Utilize legal billing software to generate, modify, and finalize invoices, ensuring a smooth electronic submission process.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all billing activities, prepare detailed financial reports, and contribute to financial forecasting.
- Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to discuss and resolve billing issues, ensuring clear communication and maintaining professional relationships.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in billing at a mid to large-sized law firm.
- Proficiency with 3E billing software is advantageous but not required.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred; however, substantial experience will also be considered.
- Must exhibit immaculate attention to detail and possess strong organizational skills.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
