Job Description

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join a dynamic Design/Build construction firm. This individual will oversee the planning, design, and execution of commercial construction projects. The Project Manager will play a critical role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Coordination:
    • Lead the planning and execution of design/build projects from inception to completion.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
    • Develop detailed project schedules, timelines, and budgets.
  • Budget Management:
    • Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimating, monitoring, and controlling costs throughout the life cycle of the project.
    • Review and approve subcontractor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the project’s financial scope.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate financial risks.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Manage project teams, providing guidance and leadership to ensure a cohesive and productive work environment.
    • Coordinate and direct the work of contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
    • Ensure effective communication between the project team, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Quality Control & Risk Management:
    • Oversee the quality assurance process to ensure projects meet industry standards and specifications.
    • Identify potential risks, delays, or issues, and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
    • Monitor safety compliance and enforce safety standards on job sites.
  • Client Relations & Communication:
    • Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Provide regular project updates, addressing concerns and ensuring client satisfaction.
    • Manage change orders and project scope adjustments, ensuring clear and prompt communication with all stakeholders.
  • Post-Project Review:
    • Oversee project closeout, including final inspections, punch lists, and delivery of completed projects to clients.
    • Conduct post-project evaluations and ensure all documentation is complete.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience working for a general contractor
  • Exposure to estimating
  • Ability to run projects from inception to completion
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
