Job Description

Responsibilities: 

  • Review and ensure the accuracy of the work completed by fund administrators and provide direction, solutions, and feedback where necessary 
  • Perform review of the month-end closing workbooks to reconcile investor allocations, valuations, management fees, and incentive/carry fee calculations 
  • Perform cash management and planning activities 
  • Review accrual schedules to ensure all positions are paying and accruing interest 
  • Planning and executing funding of investments, issuing capital calls and distributions, paying fund expenses and other liabilities 
  • Handle leverage facilities for private equity funds, including tracking loans, making interest payments, preparing compliance packages, and processing paydowns 
  • Provide client support 
  • Perform reconciliation of capital activity for clients 
  • Prepare specialized reporting packages as requested by clients and portfolio teams 
  • Answer clients’ questions regarding their investments 
  • Provide leadership to junior staff – act as a role model, provide training and support, monitor their progress, and review their work 
  • Manage audit and tax engagements to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process 
  • Compile, review, and oversee regulatory filing and ensure it’s done timely 
  • Participate in team projects and lead the ones that are assigned 
  • Assist with coverage of other funds and perform additional responsibilities as assigned 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or related field, CPA, MBA, or CFA preferred 
  • 5 or more years of experience in asset management/fund accounting role 
  • Strong MS Office skills and ability to quickly learn various software applications  
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to synthesize multiple sources of information 
  • Strong analysis and decision-making skills 
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work well under pressure 
  • Very independent and self-starter with strong organizational skills 
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
