Imaging Tech

Responsibilities/Job Duties: 

• Take quality x-rays of patients under the supervision of a physician 
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions 
• Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff 
• Monitor patient status and condition during procedures and x-rays 
• Utilize and monitor X-Ray equipment/PACS/DOH logs 
• Develop film in accordance with photographic techniques 
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients 
• Keep inventory of professional equipment and supplies 
• Place orders for new inventory when required 
• Ensure patient comfort during x-rays; use of pillows, table pads, etc. 
• Complete patient intake process and patient history 
• Document patient care and maintain charts and records 

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent  
• ARRT License required 
• One year of radiologic technology experience preferred 
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required 
• Proficient with digital x-rays 
• Comfortable assisting front desk staff when needed 
• Ability to multitask and adapt when needed
