Job Description

Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitate and manage the prep and review of company federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure accuracy of all tax form filing 
  • Maintain client relationships on day-to-day tax compliance and consulting matters 
  • Plan overall return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with the tax team 
  • Locate and implement opportunities for process improvement in tax procedures 
  • Through research, develop and execute new strategic tax planning for all necessary taxes  
  • Monitor new tax law developments, legislation, and trends to ensure quality client service 
  • Facilitate IRS income tax audits and prepare responses and create schedules 
  • Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections 
  • Provide support with various internal audits and other tax-related projects 
  • Supervise and train staff while also managing and accessing the workflow of team resources 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field required 
  • CPA License required 
  • At least 5+ years in tax compliance and consulting  
  • Excellent accounting, analytical, and research skills 
  • Experience supervising and managing a team 
  • Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficient knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures 
  • Ability to utilize project management and prioritize tasks 
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, & QuickBooks
