Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead and manage construction projects for government, federal, and municipal clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in public-sector construction, a strong understanding of contract compliance, and a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight: Manage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction to close-out, ensuring successful delivery.
  • Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules, identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Budget Management: Monitor budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability through effective financial oversight and change order management.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, including Davis-Bacon and other government-specific requirements.
  • Team Coordination: Lead project teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and on-site staff, fostering collaboration and productivity.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Procurement: Oversee material procurement, subcontractor selection, and contract negotiations to align with project goals.
  • Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation, including project reports, submittals, RFIs, and as-built records.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce quality standards and specifications to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Safety Leadership: Promote and enforce company safety protocols and OSHA compliance on all projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 6+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial or government construction.
    • Proven track record managing federal, state, or municipal projects.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • In-depth understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and risk management.
    • Familiarity with public bidding processes and contract compliance (e.g., FAR, DFARS).
  • Skills:
    • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
    • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera, Microsoft Project).
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Clearance: Ability to pass background checks and obtain security clearances, as required for federal projects.
