Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Manage and oversee the accounting for all development projects, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including US GAAP.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project managers, developers, and external stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors to ensure successful and timely completion of audits.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with development projects.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction accounting, with a focus on sophisticated commercial real estate projects.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial regulations.
    • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
