Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- At least 10 years of diverse accounting experience, including a minimum of 5 years in construction and/or manufacturing cost accounting.
- Expertise in Office 365 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Proficiency in managing ERP systems tailored to construction or manufacturing industries.
Responsibilities:
- Hourly Payroll Processing:
- Oversee and reconcile weekly payroll hours using Assignar, collaborating with operations to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Prepare and upload hours into Acumatica.
- Execute bi-weekly payroll processing through ADP, including recording transactions and entries in the general ledger.
- Project Accounting:
- Manage and monitor project costs including labor, materials, subcontractors, and other expenses.
- Update and maintain employee records in Acumatica, including rate changes and address updates.
- Collaborate with project managers to compare actual vs. budgeted revenue and costs.
- Month and Year-End Closing Activities:
- Handle accruals for direct project costs and review percentage of completion for accuracy.
- Reconcile and adjust inventory balances in the general ledger, maintaining detailed reports in Excel.
- Record various other entries such as depreciation and PTO accruals.
- Purchasing Support and Accounts Payable Assistance:
- Maintain vendor files and process approved purchase orders as a backup to the purchasing department.
- Resolve discrepancies between invoiced quantities and purchase order receipts.
- Annual Inventory Oversight:
- Participate in the annual physical inventory count and ensure reconciliation with the general ledger.
