Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Manage and supervise all field activities to ensure the project is executed according to plans, specifications, and timelines.
- Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, including coordination with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to meet critical milestones.
- Quality Control: Ensure work is performed to the highest standards and complies with all plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Safety Management: Implement and enforce site safety plans, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Manage and coordinate subcontractor activities, ensuring accountability and performance align with contractual obligations.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve on-site issues, including unexpected delays, design modifications, or logistical challenges.
- Client Relations: Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction throughout the construction process.
- Documentation: Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and other required documentation to track project performance and compliance.
- Budget Oversight: Monitor project costs in collaboration with the project manager to ensure adherence to the budget.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Superintendent in light industrial, retail, or office construction.
- Ground-up project experience required
- Ability to run projects from inception to completion
- Proven track record of managing projects from ground-up to completion.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- High level of organizational and time-management skills.
