Job Description

Staff Accountant

Job Summary: Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within a law firm environment and proficiency with the 3E accounting system. This role involves managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall financial goals.
  • Provide support during audits and tax preparations.
  • Utilize 3E accounting software for all financial processes and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a law firm.
  • Proficiency with 3E accounting software is required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
