Job Description
*Job Title – Client Service Representative*
Duties:
- Review, evaluate, process, and file tax exemption certificates and code customer accounts/orders appropriately.
- Review, process, and release orders placed on tax hold.
- Review purchase orders requiring tax examination to code and process respective orders and/or accounts.
- Perform post-invoice tax adjustments to credit/debit customer accounts.
- Process incoming tax-related correspondence including certificates, refund requests, tax discrepancies, etc.
- Process GL entries.
- Serve as a backup to reconcile GL sales and use tax accounts.
- Serve as a backup to prepare spreadsheets to organize data for tax return review.
- Generate and review statements identifying unpaid tax balances and mail them to customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience recommended. Experience with sales and use tax is highly preferred.
- • 2-4 years' experience preparing and filing tax returns recommended.
- 1-3 years of customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of sales and use tax regulations is recommended.
- Multi-state return preparation is recommended.
- Working knowledge of tax accounting software preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively
