Job Description

Derivatives Trader – Digital Assets

Premier Alternative Asset Manager in Digital/Crypto space seeking Derivatives Trader (Digital Assets) to join growing investment team. Candidate will trade crypto with a focus on hedging digital asset exposure through derivatives (options/futures/forwards). Successful candidate will possess corporate derivatives trading experience and/or middle office experience and a strong risk management mindset. Fantastic opportunity to help shape framework of managing/trading corporate crypto exposure, products, and P/L.

Responsibilities:

•     Monitor digital asset price risk and execute the monetization of corporate crypto exposure and related trading strategies with options, forwards, futures, and spot.

•     Execute cryptocurrency trades efficiently and consistently from inception of the trade through settlement (operating trading systems, monitoring execution, interacting with counterparties, etc)

•     Collaborate with and support operations team members to track and post collateral / margin as needed.

•     Proactively contribute to overall systems/investment process enhancements, including buildout of a new OMS/EMS; collaborate with colleagues in portfolio management/trading/ops/engineering to improve trading operations/systems with a focus on automation.

Requirements:

•     Bachelor's or Masters degree from a top-tier university.

•     4-8 years trading and/or settling derivatives through exchanges, order-routing systems, and OTC desks.

•     Crypto trading and/or corporate/treasury risk exposure highly preferred, including working knowledge of ISDA agreements.

•     Possess bench in OMS/EMS technology solutions for portfolio management and trading (Bloomberg AIM/EMSX, TT, FlexTrade, Charles River, SS&C Eze).

•     Advanced skills in Excel, Bloomberg and investment analytical tools; knowledge or Python/SQL a plus.

•     Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate complex issues/solutions in simple terms.

•     FINRA Series 7 required.
