Job Description

Responsibilities/Job Duties: 

  • Drive strategies and protocols necessary to ensure efficient and effective data governance and management 
  • Lead the design, implementation, and successful delivery of large-scale, critical, and complex data architecture, storage, and pipelines with a focus on scalability 
  • Design, implement and automate data pipelines, sourcing data from internal and external source systems 
  • Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it 
  • Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in their resolution 
  • Drive architectural plans and implement future data automation, reporting systems and analytics solutions  
  • Proactively define technical processes around data analysis and reporting functions to ensure accuracy and quality of deliver and to improve efficiency through optimization 
  • Manage on-premise and cloud-native cutting-edge technologies, including real-time and batch ingestion, computation, ETL, distribution, data quality, data management, agile development, ML, DevOps and CI/CD pipelines 
  • Advise on industry-leading cloud service providers, their solutions, architecture, and technologies 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science, or related field 
  • 5+ years of writing and optimizing advanced SQL queries in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets 
  • Coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, etc.) 
  • Experience with data modeling, design patterns and building highly scalable and secured solutions 
  • Experience in data architecture, data management and cloud database best practices 
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Snowflake, Fivetran, and dbt is a plus 
  • Interest and curiosity in emerging technologies 
  • Knowledge of best practices for the software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions 
  • Ability to quickly understand and appreciate underlying business context, problems and objectives of analytical projects 
  • Proven ability to effectively manage high-visibility, concurrent and cross-functional aspects of initiatives under demanding deadlines 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present complex information concisely through written and verbal communication
