Accountant/Bookkeeper

About Us: Rapidly expanding startup company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented accountant with experience in QuickBooks to join their team.
Responsibilities:
· Processing A/P & A/R, purchase orders
· Ensuring accuracy & proper classifications in a timely manner
· Printing & mailing checks
· Reconciling monthly bank and credit card statements
· Handling all payroll related tasks
· Filing and maintaining Finance Department files in an orderly fashion
· Assisting with Insurance Audit preparation
· Entering Employee expense reimbursements and cutting checks
· Preparing and filing waivers
· Assisting with other tasks as necessary
Qualifications:
· Role will be 5 days a week, 35 hours. May be flexibility over time for some level of hybrid attendance.
· Working with QuickBooks Desktop and Excel Spreadsheets. Must be proficient.
· 2 yrs plus accounting/bookkeeping experience
· QuickBooks: Premier Contractor Edition preferred
· Construction experience a plus
· Strong verbal & written communication skills
· Responsible, dependable & organized work habits
· Ability to work independently and as a team
· Ability to recognize discrepancies relating to job costs
· Ability to prioritize and multitask
· Willingness to learn new skills and responsibilities as necessary
· Professional demeanor
· Some college education experience is preferred
