Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Execute treatment plans designed by the supervising Occupational Therapist, utilizing the appropriate techniques and modalities.
- Continuously assess patient responses to therapy and keep the supervising therapist informed, suggesting adjustments to goals as needed.
- Accurately document the services provided and track patient progress over time.
- Provide education to patients and their families/caregivers on the patient’s challenges, while offering guidance on suitable adaptive equipment and available community resources.
- Support discharge planning, ensuring that patients have the necessary tools and resources for a successful transition.
- Use critical thinking and independent judgment when delivering care, ensuring minimal supervision is needed.
- Adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and respond efficiently to patient needs.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Colorado state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic and busy clinical setting.
