Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Execute treatment plans designed by the supervising Occupational Therapist, utilizing the appropriate techniques and modalities.
  • Continuously assess patient responses to therapy and keep the supervising therapist informed, suggesting adjustments to goals as needed.
  • Accurately document the services provided and track patient progress over time.
  • Provide education to patients and their families/caregivers on the patient’s challenges, while offering guidance on suitable adaptive equipment and available community resources.
  • Support discharge planning, ensuring that patients have the necessary tools and resources for a successful transition.
  • Use critical thinking and independent judgment when delivering care, ensuring minimal supervision is needed.
  • Adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and respond efficiently to patient needs.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Colorado state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic and busy clinical setting.
