Job Description

Job Summary:

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope and requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
  • Solicit and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and industry professionals.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client consultations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project feasibility.
  • Identify potential risks and provide value engineering solutions to optimize project costs.
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, pricing, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare and present estimates to company leadership and clients as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
  • Must have experience estimating all divisions without oversight
  • Commercial construction experience required
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, ProEst, Sage Estimating, or similar tools.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
