Controller

Responsibilities/Job Duties: 

• Preparing budget and financial forecasts and report variances 
• Publishing monthly financial statements 
• Assisting in investment decision making 
• Managing tax filings for local, state, and federal government 
• Reviewing documentation attached to checks for accuracy and approval  
• Supervising the company's accounting processes and operations, including invoicing, cost accounting, inventory records, and more 
• Preparing workpapers for outside accounting firm on annual audit and tax return prep 
• Monitoring variances, summarizing trends, and investigating budget deficiencies. 

Qualifications: 

• 5 years minimum of both accounting and finance experience 
• CPA or CMA preferred  
• Advanced degree in accounting 
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel and databases 
• Highly proficient in cost analyses 
• Ability to critically evaluate, identify and effectively resolve accounting staff's routine problems
