Interventional Radiology Nurse Manager

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Manager to lead the Interventional Radiology (IR) department at a medium sized community hospital nestled in the heart of California's Wine Country. This leadership role combines clinical expertise with management responsibilities in a department known for delivering advanced, minimally invasive image-guided procedures to the patients.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Interventional Radiology department, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient workflow
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of specialized IR nurses and support staff
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives and monitor patient outcomes
• Support our Magnet Recognition program through nursing excellence initiatives
• Participate in hospital-wide committees and represent IR in leadership forums
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current California RN license
• BSN required, MSN preferred
• Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years of management or charge nurse experience
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Radiology Nursing Certification (CRN) preferred
• Experience with conscious sedation protocols and monitoring
• Strong clinical knowledge of IR procedures and patient care requirements
