About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Manager to lead the Interventional Radiology (IR) department at a medium sized community hospital nestled in the heart of California's Wine Country. This leadership role combines clinical expertise with management responsibilities in a department known for delivering advanced, minimally invasive image-guided procedures to the patients.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Interventional Radiology department, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient workflow
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of specialized IR nurses and support staff
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives and monitor patient outcomes
- Support our Magnet Recognition program through nursing excellence initiatives
- Participate in hospital-wide committees and represent IR in leadership forums
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Current California RN license
- BSN required, MSN preferred
- Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience
- Minimum 2 years of management or charge nurse experience
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Radiology Nursing Certification (CRN) preferred
- Experience with conscious sedation protocols and monitoring
- Strong clinical knowledge of IR procedures and patient care requirements
