Job Description
Title: Administrative Assistant (Tax)
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize tax client documents and statements, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Process and log outgoing mail and packages via USPS, FedEx, and Certified Mail, arranging courier services as needed
- Manage the physical printing, organizing, and binding of tax returns, ensuring accurate handling of confidential client information
- Create engagement letters, correspondence, documents, and reports from drafts
- Act as a liaison with managers and principals regarding client documentation and reporting
- Ensure the return of original client tax documents through secure courier services
- Provide backup support to office services administration when needed
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred
- Three or more years of administrative experience, preferably in a professional services firm
Skills & Abilities:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with PeopleSoft Financials preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for handling confidential documents
- Customer-service oriented with the ability to interact professionally at all levels of management
- Proactive problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement
