Job Description

Title: Contracts Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate, and finalize various contract types, including Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Supply Agreements, and Rental Agreements with minimal supervision
  • Act as the liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors, ensuring business goals are met and all necessary approvals are obtained
  • Monitor and respond to upcoming contractual actions and deadlines, coordinating with internal teams to determine the best course of action
  • Provide guidance to internal clients on contract intake and processing, making informed recommendations based on risk assessment
  • Identify potential contractual risks, negotiating terms to align with company policies and objectives
  • Support and maintain data within the company’s contract management system (Agiloft)
  • Assist in the development and improvement of policies, procedures, and systems for contract management
  • Conduct internal training on contract policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Collaborate with the legal team to improve efficiency and client service
  • Perform general administrative duties and data entry related to contract management

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and contract management
  • Strong preference for in-house corporate experience or a role focused on contract terms and conditions

Skills & Abilities:

  • Expertise in contract redlining and risk assessment
  • Strong understanding of contract relationships, key terms, and negotiation tactics
  • Experience managing contracts through their entire lifecycle from initiation to post-execution
  • Familiarity with sourcing and procurement contracts
  • Experience with Agiloft contract management system preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
