Job Description
Job Title: Controller / Family Office / Director of Finance

We are seeking a controller to lead the Finance function for the company and owners’ personal finances.
Key Responsibilities
Record Keeping
· Maintain and close the books for the company
· Maintain and close the personal books for the owners
· Ensure investment distributions are received; follow-up with investment vehicles as necessary
· Ensure all transactions are properly documented and discrepancies are addressed
A/P and A/R
· Pay expenses in a timely manner
· Execute payroll in partnership with PEO
· Manage A/R team to ensure proper invoices and cash applications
Treasury / JPM
· Manage treasury accounts
Compliance
· Execute quarterly tax payments
· Partner with accountant to prepare tax returns
· Complete RPIE as needed on real estate investments
Budget and Reporting
· In partnership with COO and senior partners, develop a budget for the year
· Produce monthly reporting packages to track performance vs budget and vs PY
· Maintain 13 week cash flow forecast
· Conduct ad-hoc analyses
Insurance
· Maintain and manage our insurance
Transition to Digital
· Digitally enable our Finance processes
Reports to: COO at company
Direct reports: 1.5 A/R individuals

Qualification we are looking for:
· 7+ years of experience in accounting and/or family office role
· Experience utilizing systems to improve the finance process
· Experience handling and maintaining highly confidential information
