Billing Coordinator

Job Summary: The Billing Coordinator will be responsible for managing the billing process for the firm, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all billing activities. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and the finance team. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in legal billing and be proficient in using 3E or Elite billing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process client invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review and verify billing data to ensure compliance with client guidelines and firm policies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to resolve billing discrepancies and issues.
  • Maintain and update billing records and client information in the billing system.
  • Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to billing.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices and billing statements.
  • Ensure adherence to billing deadlines and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Provide support and training to legal staff on billing procedures and systems.
  • Utilize 3E or Elite billing software to streamline billing processes and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal billing, preferably in an international law firm.
  • Proficiency in 3E or Elite billing systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of legal billing practices and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in billing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
