Billing Coordinator
Job Summary: The Billing Coordinator will be responsible for managing the billing process for the firm, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all billing activities. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and the finance team. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in legal billing and be proficient in using 3E or Elite billing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process client invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review and verify billing data to ensure compliance with client guidelines and firm policies.
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to resolve billing discrepancies and issues.
- Maintain and update billing records and client information in the billing system.
- Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to billing.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices and billing statements.
- Ensure adherence to billing deadlines and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Provide support and training to legal staff on billing procedures and systems.
- Utilize 3E or Elite billing software to streamline billing processes and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal billing, preferably in an international law firm.
- Proficiency in 3E or Elite billing systems is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of legal billing practices and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in billing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
