Assistant Project Manager – Columbus, Ohio

A well-established real estate development and construction firm is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of multifamily construction projects in Columbus, Ohio. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to gain hands-on project management experience while assisting in scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in overseeing all aspects of construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Track project progress, update schedules, and identify potential risks or delays.
  • Review and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
  • Ensure quality control standards are met and assist with site visits as needed.
  • Support the development and enforcement of safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and assist in reporting to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in construction project coordination or management, preferably in multifamily or commercial construction.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with construction processes, scheduling, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling software.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
