Job Description
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Assistant HRIS Manager and reporting to the Senior Director of HRIS and Compensation, the HRIS Analyst collaborates with the HR team to manage the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), process employment data, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance to staff and university employees.
Essential Functions
- Process, maintain, and prepare employee data in the University’s ERP Banner HR System, including bio-demo, employment information, salary adjustments, employment eligibility forms, and electronic access requests for visitors and employee spouses.
- Manage the OnBase Enterprise Content Management System, coordinating with IT system administrators on role-based security and user privileges. Handle scanning and imaging of all confidential new hire and ongoing payment paperwork, including preparation, scanning, uploading, and indexing documents, averaging 2000 forms per biweekly payroll.
- Communicate with new employees regarding onboarding using an automated system, Banner Workflow.
- Provide general support for various HR-payroll related processes; assist in research, escalation, and resolution of operational issues; and support key HR-payroll initiatives.
- Identify compliance issues related to FLSA minimum wage, NYC Sick Time Act, and ACA tracking of hours.
- Maintain HR data integrity through various data collection and submission processes.
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in HRIS or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint Pivot) is required.
