Job Description

Title: Sr. Accountant – Inventory & Assets

Key Responsibilities – 

  • Prepare journal entries, month-end and year-end close processes, and financial statements
  • Conduct variance analysis for income statements and balance sheets, including international accounts
  • Collaborate with Financial Accounting leadership to ensure GAAP compliance and proper accounting interpretations
  • Maintain and update internal process documentation for accounting policies and procedures
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities, leveraging technology to streamline processes
  • Prepare data and supporting schedules for financial statements, tax filings, and audit requests
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, reconciling discrepancies and ensuring proper valuation
  • Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation and analysis
  • Conduct special projects, ad hoc reporting, and financial analysis as needed
  • Work collaboratively across departments to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations

Qualifications – 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or Chartered Accountant preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or auditing
  • Proven experience in general ledger responsibilities and financial reporting

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, Power Pivot)
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion SmartView, BlackLine, SAP, Alteryx, or Salesforce is a plus

Other Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across finance and other departments
  • Excellent attention to detail and initiative in research and process improvements
  • Effective communication skills for reporting and stakeholder collaboration
