Job Description

Title: Sr. Accountant – Technical

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general ledger accounting functions, including journal entries, month-end and year-end close processes, and account reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and consolidated financial reports in accordance with GAAP
  • Conduct variance analysis for income statement accounts, balance sheets, and international entities
  • Process payroll entries and benefit reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
  • Assist in audit preparation, including responding to internal and external audit requests
  • Maintain and update internal accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Identify automation opportunities and drive improvements in financial processes
  • Support tax filings and regulatory reporting, preparing required schedules and supporting data
  • Manage special projects, ad hoc reporting, and financial analysis to support business objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and effective communication of financial data

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
  • 4+ years of general ledger accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Pivot)
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion SmartView, BlackLine, Salesforce, SAP, or Bloomberg Tax software is a plus

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal
