Job Description

Title: Sr. Accountant – Revenue & Expense

Key Responsibilities – 

  • Oversee general ledger accounting functions, including journal entries, month-end and year-end close processes, and financial reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate and timely revenue and expense recognition in compliance with GAAP
  • Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted financial results, identifying key trends and insights
  • Work closely with billing and collections teams to ensure revenue accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures, providing training to other departments as needed
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements within financial operations
  • Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for external audits, tax filings, and financial reporting
  • Support special projects, ad hoc financial analysis, and strategic decision-making initiatives
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications – 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or CA preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or auditing
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger functions

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, Power Pivot)
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion SmartView, BlackLine, Salesforce, SAP, or Alteryx is a plus

Other Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, working across finance and other departments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
