Job Description
Primary Function/Summary
Perform project installations of Electronic Security Products (Alarm Systems, Video Systems, and Access Controls) and low voltage cabling. Perform site surveys for Project Managers and Security Sales Engineer to assist with getting accurate solution designs. Respond to and resolve service requests for security equipment and perform annual preventative maintenance.

- Perform low voltage job duties such as wiring, mounting and setup of electronic security installations (Video Surveillance, Access Control Systems, Security Alarm Systems, Phone Entry Systems, ATM cameras, etc.)
- Program alarm panels, DVR, NVR, and access systems to customer specifications.
- Report daily progress for installations to Project Manager and customer as needed.
- Report issues or punch list items to Project Manager and assist with resolution.
- Service access control, video surveillance, security alarm, pneumatic systems, drive through audio systems, locks, and keys.
- Complete preventative maintenance check-ups as defined by maintenance contract.
- Complete site surveys as necessary to validate conditions in support of project bids and proposals.
- Document/complete all fields and call notes via electronic applications for each service call.
- Communicate activity and status to manager, dispatch, customer, and others as needed.
- Maintain company van and tools in good working order (company expense) and account for van inventory.
- Interact with customer in a professional and proficient manner.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
- Troubleshooting knowledge for low voltage & basic electronic systems
- Analog and IP video knowledge
- Security Alarm wiring, device installation & programming experience
- Proficiencies with Windows 10 & Microsoft Office Products
- Ability to pass background, credit and MVR check
- HS Diploma
- Driver’s license
Preferred:
- Minimum of 2 years running, terminating, and testing low voltage cabling
- Experience with OpenEye Video systems and DMP Alarm Products a huge plus
- 3-5 years’ experience programming alarm panels and configuring DVR/NVR’s and cameras
- Access Control experience
- Door Hardware Experience (installation and service of strikes, maglocks, power door operators, electrified locking hardware etc.)
- Ability & understanding with IP data networks
- 2 Year associate degree from a Technical College Specifically with training in Electronics or Low Voltage System Design or equivalent experience and certifications
