Job Description
The Health Sciences Librarian will provide reference services specializing in published information related to health, medicine, and the pharmaceutical industry to support teams across our client. The Health Sciences Librarian will use search skills and tools to provide information to support Clinical Development, Program and Portfolio Management, Medical Affairs, Commercial, and Business Development activities. The Health Sciences Librarian will also curate and publish the Library’s monthly literature push for the company.
Responsibilities including, but not limited to:
· Provide information retrieval, literature search, and bibliographic services to the organization in support of R&D, marketing, business development, medical affairs, and regulatory initiatives.
· Curate and deliver monthly literature push.
· Troubleshoot subscription access issues and other technical issues for manual and automated
search processes.
· Answer copyright inquiries
· Locate and deliver hard to find publications
Technical Requirements & Skills:
- Master’s in library or information science from an ALA accredited program
- 2+ years of experience in an information science/management, library science, or related role in
a healthcare related field/industry
- Available to work 20 hours/week during normal business hours
· Demonstrated ability in developing and executing searches in PubMed, Medline, Embase, and Scopus
· Demonstrated ability in reference services
· Experience with corporate communication platforms
· Familiarity with RightFind a plus
· Familiarity with copyright
- Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills

- Good verbal communication skills; Ability to write clearly and effectively
