Corporate Accounting – Controller

Our client is seeking to hire a Controller to help run the Accounting/Finance function for the organization. This individual will oversee key accounting functions, manage a staff of 5+ accountants, and advise on multiple key matters related to accounting/technology. 

Responsibilities/Job Duties: 

• Ownership of the financial reporting process and the general and sub-ledgers, as well as record keeping and expense reporting 
• Ownership of the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements 
• Administration and oversight of all accounting and financial information systems 
• Preparation and presentation of analytical reviews and analyses to senior management 
• Lead annual audit process and coordination with external auditors 
• Lead annual budget process, attend/present at board and other meetings, as necessary 
• Provide special reports and assistance on special projects, as requested 
• Interact with vendors and customers 
• Management of consultants on projects related to the accounting and other finance related information systems 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field 
• 10+ years proven accounting experience 
• Professional accounting certification, including CMA, CGA, or CA 
• Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP) 
• Strong understanding of economic and banking processes 
• Exemplary history of financial project management
