Interim Controller

Position Overview: The Financial Controller will lead the accounting department, ensuring the integrity of financial operations and compliance with regulatory standards. This role demands a dynamic leader with a proven track record in process improvement and financial reporting, capable of driving the team towards excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Inspire and manage the accounting team, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Financial Management: Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, tax, payroll, inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to GAAP standards and regulatory requirements, coordinating internal and external audits.
• Reporting: Prepare and present financial statements and reports to stakeholders, including lenders and shareholders.
• Process Improvement: Evaluate and implement efficient accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Strategic Support: Collaborate with the CFO and executive team on budgeting, forecasting, and performance metrics.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience: Minimum 8 years in progressive accounting and finance roles, with at least 2 years as a controller or senior-level accounting manager.
• Expertise: Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate finance concepts, with proven experience in financial analysis and process streamlining.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise, Microsoft Excel, and Sage Intacct.
• Credentials: CPA preferred; public accounting experience is a plus.
• Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the Technology or Business Services industry is highly desirable.
