Job Description

Staff Accountant

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Accounts Management: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP and not-for-profit accounting standards, and assist with audits and regulatory filings.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial support and guidance as needed.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a not-for-profit organization.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Intacct and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and not-for-profit accounting principles.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and record-keeping.
