Job Description
Title: Social Media Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the organization’s goals.
- Manage daily social media operations, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement across LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Create compelling digital content (graphics, videos, and copy) tailored for different platforms and audiences.
- Oversee paid and organic social media campaigns, ensuring optimal audience growth, engagement, and conversions.
- Monitor social media trends, platform updates, and analytics, providing insights and recommendations for strategy improvements.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and community members to enhance engagement.
- Assist in event marketing efforts and provide on-site social media support for local events and trade shows.
- Support administrative and reporting tasks as needed to optimize marketing operations.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience managing social media in a nonprofit or corporate setting.
- Strong background in social media strategy, content marketing, audience engagement, and analytics.
- Proven experience with paid social media campaigns and performance tracking tools.
Skills & Abilities:
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills tailored for digital audiences.
- Proficiency in social media management tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of analytics tools and ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Ability to think critically, strategically, and creatively while managing multiple projects.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with adaptability to shifting priorities.
