Job Description

Title: Senior Manager, Benefits

Key Responsibilities

Benefits Administration & Strategy

  • Evaluate, design, and implement competitive and cost-effective benefits programs.
  • Oversee plan governance, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Benchmark current benefits offerings and develop global integration strategies.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Legal to harmonize global benefits structures.
  • Manage benefits renewals, open enrollment, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure accurate benefits documentation and compliance reporting.
  • Optimize HRIS systems for benefits data accuracy, analytics, and forecasting.
  • Lead global governance structure for benefits programs across multiple regions.
  • Partner with Global Mobility & Compensation teams to design benefits for internationally mobile employees.
  • Work with brokers and vendors to develop country-specific benefits packages.
  • Establish processes for international benefits enrollment and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure local benefits align with corporate policies and industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement global well-being programs in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to create wellness initiatives and incentives.
  • Gather employee feedback and optimize well-being offerings to maximize impact.
  • Lead benefits communication strategy, including education materials and onboarding support.

Systems & Compliance

  • Manage HRIS benefits setup, data accuracy, and system improvements.
  • Conduct data audits, troubleshoot integration issues, and enhance automation.
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Monitor evolving legislation and global regulatory changes, advising on compliance updates.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 8+ years of benefits administration experience, including global benefits programs.
  • Strong background in benefits compliance, vendor management, and plan administration.
  • Experience developing and implementing international benefits strategies.
  • Expertise in HRIS systems, data analytics, and reporting (Workday or similar).
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of employee wellness programs and industry best practices.
  • Experience in biotech, pharma, or high-growth global companies preferred.
