    Temporary Benefits Manager needed for a fully remote 6 month contract. Must have strong experience in people management, benefits compliance, and LOA & ADA. Pay $50-60/hr.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs; ensure smooth vendor coordination and regulatory compliance.
  • Organize quarterly meetings, document minutes, and follow up with vendors as needed.
  • Oversee Leaves & Accommodations requests and collaborate with third-party leave vendors on employee matters.
  • Ensure adherence to City, State, and federal laws; manage annual compliance testing, including Form 5500 filings and 403(b) testing.
  • Lead benefits open enrollment, develop communication materials, and educate employees on plan options.
  • Serve as the primary contact for benefits inquiries, providing guidance and resolving complex issues.
  • Organize health fairs, wellness workshops, and other events to promote benefits awareness.
  • Reconcile statements, process payroll deductions, and maintain accurate records in Paycom.
  • Ensure accurate employee enrollment, update benefits platforms, and maintain intranet resources.
  • Perform other tasks as needed to enhance benefits administration and employee experience.

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of related benefits experience.
  • Proven experience handling HR/Benefits compliance.
  • Familiarity with Paycom, Cigna and Principal is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and detail-oriented skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while efficiently completing tasks with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • The ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and discretion.
