Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects across our core markets: K-12 education, higher education, industrial, and senior living. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing projects up to $15 million, from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to our high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of construction projects from preconstruction planning through project closeout
- Coordinate and oversee all construction activities on site, ensuring compliance with safety, design, and quality standards
- Work collaboratively with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost control measures
- Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, and purchase agreements
- Lead project meetings and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders
- Monitor project performance, proactively identify risks, and implement solutions
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and logs throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure all regulatory, legal, and contractual obligations are met
- Mentor and support project engineers and assistant project managers as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction
- Experience managing projects in K-12, higher ed, industrial, or senior living sectors preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects up to $15 million in value
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, codes, and safety regulations
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera, Bluebeam)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong financial acumen and attention to detail
