Job Description

A growing financial institution is seeking an Branch Manager to help lead branch operations, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and provide ongoing support to team members. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in retail banking who is passionate about leadership, service, and operational excellence.

Salary range: $80-$90K base plus sign on bonus

Schedule: Full-time, onsite Mon-Fri

Operating Locations: Brooklyn, Astoria, Bronx, or Union, NJ

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Branch Manager to streamline daily activities and improve branch performance
  • Act as a key point of contact for resolving complex client concerns and ensuring positive outcomes
  • Facilitate daily check-ins to align staff on goals, procedures, and service expectations
  • Mentor new hires through orientation and provide hands-on guidance during training
  • Promote regulatory compliance by monitoring staff practices and reinforcing internal policies
  • Maintain oversight of secure processes, including opening/closing duties and cash control
  • Step into a leadership role when needed, providing continuity in branch operations
  • Build rapport with customers and community partners to support growth initiatives
  • Monitor individual and team progress, delivering feedback and setting development plans
  • Encourage a culture of collaboration, accountability, and customer focus

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing banking or retail operations role
  • Familiarity with financial products, branch procedures, and industry regulations
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate teams in a service-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general office technology
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a problem-solving mindset
  • Comfortable interacting with clients and managing a busy, people-oriented workplace
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs and work full days in a professional office setting
