Job Description

Title: Community Engagement Member

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage online engagement strategies and editorial calendars to support member participation
  • Create dynamic content for digital channels including forums, blogs, and newsletters
  • Monitor community discussions, address member inquiries, and encourage active participation
  • Oversee the organization's online community platform, ensuring smooth operation of discussion forums, resource libraries, and event sections
  • Develop campaigns to drive user activity, using automation and personalization tools
  • Track and report on member engagement KPIs to refine outreach efforts
  • Identify and promote community champions to support member-driven initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align community activities with broader membership strategies
  • Maintain platform functionality in partnership with technical teams and vendors
  • Continually evaluate engagement initiatives and suggest strategic improvements

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in online community management, ideally within a membership association environment
  • Hands-on experience with association management systems (AMS) and community platforms; Higher Logic experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce engaging content
  • Familiarity with key performance indicators and engagement reporting
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive, self-managed work style
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience using MemberSuite or Rhythm AMS
  • Understanding of content marketing and its application within membership organizations
