Job Description

Title: Revenue Accountant

Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate and analyze revenue data from various business units and systems for monthly and quarterly closings
  • Perform reconciliations and prepare manual journal entries for revenue adjustments
  • Review customer agreements to determine applicable revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606
  • Maintain general ledger and revenue sub-ledger activity; ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Support statutory financial reporting and external audit processes
  • Partner with internal teams to improve data workflows and system integrations across revenue platforms
  • Assist with the implementation and testing of revenue recognition and reporting tools (e.g., RevStream, Alteryx, Agiloft, Blackline, PowerBI)

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience with exposure to revenue recognition (ASC 606); mix of public and industry experience highly valued
  • Strong background in general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines; detail-oriented and highly analytical
  • Willingness to occasionally work flexible hours during quarter-end and year-end close periods

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior roles supporting PE-backed or multi-entity businesses
  • Experience with revenue automation tools (e.g., Zuora, RevPro, Softrax)
  • Familiarity with reporting or visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Exposure to contract lifecycle management and reconciliation automation tools
  • Background in technology manufacturing or engineering services is a strong plus
