Job Description

Title: Director of Revenue

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the internal authority on revenue recognition and technical accounting
  • Oversee the review of contracts and ensure accurate accounting treatment under ASC 606
  • Develop and implement scalable revenue processes, tools, and controls to support growth
  • Partner with business units, legal, and finance teams to evaluate customer arrangements and support policy adherence
  • Manage month-end close related to revenue and all related reconciliations and reporting
  • Lead a global team responsible for revenue operations and systems
  • Support internal forecasting processes and assist in developing forward-looking revenue models
  • Coordinate with IT on revenue system integrations and data reporting platforms
  • Own audit preparation and support related to revenue for annual external audits

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred
  • 5–10 years of progressive revenue accounting experience, ideally with a blend of public accounting and corporate finance
  • Strong technical understanding of ASC 606 and experience with revenue recognized on a percentage-of-completion basis
  • Hands-on experience with revenue management or data tools such as RevStream, Alteryx, Agiloft CMS, Blackline, or PowerBI
  • Track record of building or improving revenue-related systems and controls in a global environment
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop high-performing teams
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex accounting into business terms
  • Experience within manufacturing, technology, or a similarly complex product-driven industry is preferred
