Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Superintendent to support on-site construction activities for commercial projects located in the Cincinnati area. This role is critical in helping ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Superintendent with daily field operations and project coordination
- Help oversee subcontractors, schedule work activities, and ensure adherence to project timelines
- Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily reports and safety logs
- Monitor job site safety and enforce compliance with company policies and OSHA standards
- Support quality control efforts and ensure work is completed to specifications and standards
- Assist with site logistics, material deliveries, and coordination with vendors
- Attend project meetings and communicate regularly with project management and field teams
- Foster positive working relationships with clients, inspectors, and subcontractors
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in commercial or multifamily construction, preferably in a field-based role
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and safety procedures
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schedules
- Proficiency with construction technology and software is a plus (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Office)
- Willingness to travel regularly to project sites in the Cincinnati area
